Looking Glass Quotes 1.1


Looking Glass Quotes is a shareware quote-of-the-day program for Windows 3.0
and later.  Its features include color configurability and easy display of 
new quotes.

Files in this package:

        LGQUOTES.EXE    Looking Glass Quotes program
        LGQUOTES.DAT    Sample database with 50 quotes (registered version
                        contains over 1,600 quotes)

        STARTUP.EXE     Program to add LGQUOTES.EXE to your StartUp group
                        in Program Manager
        DDEML.DLL       Only needed by users with Windows 3.0 who want to
                        run the STARTUP utility.

To install Looking Glass Quotes, simply copy all the files listed above to
any directory on your hard disk.  You can add LGQUOTES.EXE to your Program
Manager Startup group by running STARTUP.EXE, which will make Looking Glass
Quotes run whenever you start Windows 3.1 or later.  Note that STARTUP.EXE
must be run from the directory where you installed LGQUOTES.EXE.

After Looking Glass Quotes is installed and set up in your Program Manager,
you can delete the files DDEML.DLL and STARTUP.EXE.

We strongly recommend that you run the "Perform Self-Check..." item from
either the main program menu or the quote menu the first time you run Looking
Glass Quotes.  This will make the program check itself against tampering and
transmission errors.  If Looking Glass Quotes fails this test, you should
stop using it and send it to us with a letter telling us where you received
your copy.

Once Looking Glass Quotes is running, you can display a new quote by double
clicking on the main program's icon or on the title bar of the quote window,
by hitting the space bar when the quote is the active Windows window, or by
selecting the "New Quote" item on either the main program menu or the quote
menu.

Registered users will receive the complete quote database, which includes
over 1,600 quotes, plus one year of free, automatic upgrades to the program 
and database as they are released.
